Install complete, display goes to sleep while riding

So I just wrapped up my install. It works! One issue that I believe can be fixed with a software update. After a few minutes of riding, the screen on my Nyon controller goes to sleep and turns off killing power to the motor. If I keep toggling my screen to keep it awake, the bike stays on. Alex?

Here are the BMS IDs

Very exiting to see another dual battery user, did you just use the original bosch dual battery system? I’m planning to install my second battery holder once the weather gets better, and could not find that much info about dual battery systems a while back. Hoping the software issue gets fixed soon!

Yes, I used the original Bosch dual battery set up. Install was pretty painless. The system fired right up afterwards. You can find my install here

I’ll post here also once I have some real world experience. Just waiting to hear back from Alex or anyone at Infinite.

Thanks for the quick reply, good to hear that it hopefully “just works” I’ve been struggling to find documentation on how bosch handles its dual battery system, so I’ve been hesitant to try :stuck_out_tongue:

Hi,

Known issue — we’re aware of it and working on a firmware fix.

What’s happening: the Nyon display isn’t receiving the right keep-alive signal from the Infinite Battery BMS in Bosch compatibility mode, so it goes to sleep as if the bike were stationary.

In the meantime: toggling the display manually is the only workaround for now.

To help us prioritise the fix, could you share your BMS ID and your current firmware version (visible in the app)? That way we can push you a patch or a downgrade to a stable version as soon as we have one ready.
