Hi,

Hi,
What’s the status on implementing/reverse engineering Shimano compatibility and designing mounting adaptors?
As one of the early backers I’m excited about using the Infinite Battery on my cargo bike with STePS E6100.
I really want to know how long we’ll have to wait for Shimano Steps compatibility — it’s the main reason I bought five of them.
And you claimed that it will work with Shimano but it don’t work now☹️
I’m adding me as a +1 here. Shimano is the main reason I backedup the project. My current battery is reaaly dying now (39% remaining capacity…) and I’m still wondering when will the Gouach battery be available with a Shimano compatibility.
I completely understand that you are a very small team working on several parallel tracks when it comes to improving and adding to the promising product that is the Infinite Battery, which or course mean that things can take (a lot) longer time than expected and that schedules can slip.
However, I’m also very much looking forward to the Infinite Battery that is currently sitting on my workbench becoming more than a promising product for my Shimano E6100 equipped cargo bike, therefore I would really appreciate if we could get an update on the roadmap and perhaps some light shed on if there has been any progress on implementing Shimano STePS compatibility.
so are they ignoring these messages? I have not received any response to my email, and the web store shows no available products. I still do not have a battery, nor do I see it being compatable with shimano… Did I waste my money? refund?
Since there was an e-mail sent on the topic of using the Infinite Battery for Rad Power-bikes I guess things are still in operation, which is a good thing.
But for us Shimano users it’s beyond time for an update on the progress with making the battery compatible with our bikes as was, if not promised, then at least heavily hinted at as a feature during the product launch and crowd funding phases.
I totally agree - ive been emailing since July.
July 1:
“we should finalize the bosch protocol this week and once it is in production we will move on to Shimano which might take a few weeks to implement”
July 20:
“we are starting Shimano next week, we hope to have it ready end of september”
Jan 15th:
”sorry still not available”
“Hi!
We were indeed working on it but as we’re a small company we got caught up in commands by some clients that asked us for specific protocols, we should be soon resuming work, we’d probably be working on that starting february, and I’d estimate 2/3 months of work on it”
Not holding my breath, but bumping this for visibility and in hope for an update.
Another patiently waiting Shimano STePS user here. I need the e6000 compatibility and have been holding of on completing my purchase until there are some solid progress. Really looking forward to having a more sustainable option and would soon have to replace the battery with a standard one if this isn’t solved.
Just sent an e-mail so the issue is not forgotten. Even if companies request specific protocols there should be some honor in upholding your promise to original backers.
Another one waiting for my E-Bullitt…. ![]()
Yeah, closing up on a year now since I had my battery delivered and it’s still not anywhere closer to being installed on my e-Bullitt either.
If I remember correctly, an e-Bullitt was even used in the marketing imagery for the crowd funding campaign…
