I just finished assembling my kit. So far so good. It’s charging and no problems whatsoever. I just have a couple questions as this will be my first ebike conversion.
I had no issues putting the battery together. The two plastic housings were a bit hard to assemble for me. It was a tight fit, but I managed in the end. I think that step might be a bit stressful for some.
Also, when plugging in the white connector to the BMS it didn’t really “click”, but it didn’t look like it could go any further either, so I didn’t force it.
In terms of battery storage, what’s the best practice for long term of no use? I live in scandinavia and in the winter, there’s 4-5 months where the bike will be stowed away unused. Is 50% a good level of charge or would you suggest something else? How much discharge should I expect over the winter? Should I check on the battery to make sure it doesn’t go too low?
On a day to day. Are you supposed to turn off the switch of the battery connector at the end of each ride or does the battery go to sleep on its own?
I have yet to put together the rest of the bike, so I’ll leave it at 50% for a few weeks. I just couldn’t wait to put it together.
