Whilst riding today just on the odd occasion whilst riding with the motor off it would come on by itself. On returning home I checked the software as I always do and all my configuration details are lost…gone, disappeared. Everything else was fine, error state was OK, battery charge showed 84% after a 26 mile ride…a pretty good result. Each bank of cells was reporting OK just no config details. I split the battery and pressed the reset button and it went into root mode fine but on trying to enter the config details all I was presented with was blank boxes. Nothing could be selected, in fact there was nothing to select. I reassembled the battery and installed it on the bike and everything works as normal. Any ideas?
I just had the exact same thing happen, almost sounds like they changed something on their backend…
Fortunately it appears that the battery still works properly for now, but it would be nice to have this issue resolved.
I came back from my ride today. The battery performed flawlessly and on checking the software on my return everything was bach to normal…..
. Go figure? This the second time it’s done it. I’m wondering if the battery is ‘talking’ to the server.
Just checked mine as well and everything works again, I guess something was wrong on the backend.
It’s as well we post every little issue we have even though it’s rectified itself as it stopped us worrying about it if it happens again so it will likely put other owners minds at rest. Up to now I have been absolutely delighted with it. I may have chosen the wrong cells in Samsung 35E as the seem very temperature sensitive compared to my original Bosch battery. In the cold the Bosch 300Wh out performs the Infinite 560Wh in power delivery but the Infinite powers ahead in warm weather. The Samsung 35E cells recover when I bring the battery into the warm. Eg the software will show a say 65% charge left just after the ride but four hours later having warmed up it will then show 76% charge and the battery led light will go from 3 lights to 4. The Bosch has never done that to such an extent. Yes range is reduced in cold weather but not to that extent. I suspect Bosch use a cell more suited to this use. I only went for the 35E on their reputation and extra capacity but I suspect there are far better cells suitable for this task. Solution? I do use a USB heat mat powered by a USB power pack on both batteries but the Samsung cells don’t respond as well as those in the Bosch. If I am going to exceed 45 miles in very cold weather I take both batteries. I would love to get hold of whatever cells Bosch use for the Infinite.
