Should I Reinstall Bosch Batteries?

Well I haven’t been able to use my cargo bike now for over a week. I brought my batteries up stairs expecting an update to fix the controller sleep issue. Thought I would charge them while I wait to hear back from @Alex. Left one on the charger while I took a nap. Now it won’t wake. Looks like I’ll have to open it and see if a reset will wake it. The second battery won’t charge. Red LED, Green LED, Blue LED. @Alex, I could really use some guidance here.

Hello,I am also currently experiencing the issue that my battery will not wake up. Neither by tapping, connecting the charger, nor pressing the reset button.

The only way to wake it up is to connect a smartphone charger to the internal micro USB port (tip from Alexandre). Then the battery wakes up immediately and can be read via the app or web interface. However, this only lasts until the USB cable is disconnected. Then it switches off again immediately, even though it is fully charged.

I’m beginning to think about disposing of it as hazardous waste and closing the chapter for once and for all. I’m losing the motivation to invest any more time in it. The battery has been sitting here on my workbench for over a year and hasn’t been used on the bike for a single minute because something always didn’t work or I had to wait for parts.

Yeah, I just spent an hour and a half re-installing the mounts for the factory Bosch batteries. I need my bike to be reliable. I’ve waited 10 days for a response from Infinite and still nothing. I’ll wait until they have have all the bugs worked out before I try again.

I feel for you. I am getting little disheartened reading about the lack of support some owners are experiencing though up to now I have been assisted pretty quickly. Hang in there. Have you tried emailing?

Yeah, I’m pretty bummed about it. I really have high hopes for this battery system. I did email, direct message and tagged them in all my posts but still nothing. I’ve already put the Bosch batteries back on the bike. Glad I didn’t have to make any non reversible modifications to the bike. Hate to see the batteries go to waste so I’m gonna see if I can wire up an adaptor to use them for charging other electronic gadgets if its possible. Idk, this has really thrown me for a loop.

Sadly though an innovative and excellent product it is only as good as the service you get, especially on such a new a project as this. I have Alex’s mobile number which I am passing to you via messaging.

Got it. I appreciate that. Thank you.

Hi @That_Cargo_Bike_Guy,

I’m really sorry for the lack of response — this is not the experience you should have had, and I completely understand your frustration after 10 days of silence.

For your battery that won’t wake up: the most common cause is UVLO mode (ultra-low voltage lockout). The Bosch charger sometimes can’t push enough current to wake the BMS. The fix is to plug a micro-USB cable directly into the USB port on the BMS face — this bypasses the main power and wakes it up directly. Once it’s online, connect it to WiFi and we can pull the logs remotely.

For the second battery (Red + Green + Blue LEDs): this is a permanent fault flag, usually caused by a safety chip trigger. It can be cleared by long-pressing the reset button behind the LEDs for 3-5 seconds until the BMS reboots.

If you’re still willing to give it another shot, reach out directly at help@gouach.com and we’ll make sure you get a proper response this time.

Again, sorry for the poor experience.
